I am an art director and have been creating in Pittsburgh for more than 12 years. I started my career in the marketing department at Gorell Enterprises in Indiana, Pennsylvania directly out of school. I actually started full-time, before I even graduated. Since then, I’ve worked at Brady Communications, Quest Fore, Gatesman Agency and now Garrison Hughes.
I’ve had the unique opportunity to hold many roles throughout my career including: production designer, designer, art director, team lead, project/account manager and now an associate creative director. You could say I’m well-rounded and understand both the creative and client perspective.
Along the way, I have picked up some hardware for the hard work that I put into my craft. Addy Awards, Graphic Design USA awards, PRSA awards, Communicator, and Davey Awards to name a few. Oh, I didn’t want to forget the APTA AdWheel award either.
When I am not working, I still like to create. I create most meals from scratch. I create craft beers in my basement and my newest hobby is rebuilding a classic ‘67 Mustang - a hobby that allows me to use those welding skills I learned in sculpture class many years ago. Don’t tell my wife, but I also have a ‘68 Barracuda.
When I am not creating, you can usually find me relaxing at home with my wife and covered in kids and cats.
